Dear friends,
As promised in our last letter, we are experiencing an eventful fall. The EMO Metalworking fair in Hannover was a great success with many fruitful discussions. We can also proudly announce that our cemented carbide Vibenite® 480 has been twice awarded. Further, our CTO has been appointed to the council of a new additive manufacturing program at Uppsala University, and will also give a lecture at Uppsala Technical Association. The growing interest in VBN’s products is leading us towards expansion, which we are all very excited about. Read on…

TCT Awards 2019

At the end of September, the TCT Awards ceremony was held as the grand finale of the TCT Show, focused on additive manufacturing. Company and academia representatives from all over the world were gathered to celebrate the latest progress made in different areas of additive manufacturing. In the category of Materials – Non-polymers, VBN received the prize as highly commended for its cemented carbide Vibenite® 480.
Strong interest leading to expansion

VBN is experiencing a definite increase in both customer requests and general public interest. Collaboration has taken off with the license customer signed in December 2018 and new relations have been built since the EMO Hannover fair, which also gave a great boost to the company videos explaining hybrid carbide Vibenite® 480 and The world’s hardest steel, Vibenite® 290.
