How to buy

Pre-study

A pre-study is performed to establish what works from a technical point of view. At this stage a test component is produced for verification in the customer’s application. The cost for each project will be evaluated individually.

Production development project

A production development project is performed to evaluate possible serial production by VBN, and determines the following:

  • Long-term cost of a component.
  • Suitable batch-size.
  • Appropriate dimension of a tool/component, aiming at cost reduction.
  • Optimal build set-up for the tool/component.

License or continued production by VBN

VBN Components produces industrial tools and components for companies who are among the most prominent in their line of business. The first stage of production always takes place in-house, at VBN’s facilities. However, when internal testing has taken place at the customer’s facilities, and the customer sees the benefits that Vibenite®-materials bring to production efficiency, it is interesting to discuss a license agreement.

A license means that the customer can implement VBN’s patented production process AM-HSS™ at its own production unit for a specific application. This allows the customer to stay ahead and secure a top position in production performance, with full assistance from VBN in 3D-printing unique materials.

It is also possible to have a parallel production process, where VBN continues developing or modifying components and partially produces for the customer, at the same time as the customer starts producing large series under license.

To discuss this opportunity, send an email to info(a)vbncomponents.com .
